Apple Valley Kohl's Volunteers

The volunteers at Apple Valley Kohl's make it look easy! They get together to make pillowcases every six weeks. Talk about a great company and a fantastic group of volunteers!

Sacred Heart Church 5th Graders - Rush City

Thanks to the 5th Grade class of Rush City Sacred Heart Church! I loved receiving the picture and note with the pillowcases in the mail. Great job class!

Hard Rock Cafe in the Mall of America

We recently had a sewing event at the Hard Rock Cafe at the Mall of America. We had a great turnout of ConKerr Cancer volunteers. A couple Hard Rock Cafe employees even tried their hand at sewing a pillowcase! 

 Thanks to all of the volunteers who participated in the special event! Thanks to our event volunteer photographer, Dave, for capturing the fun for us! 

Hard Rock donated t-shirts which were transformed into adorable pillowcases. We sewed on the second level of the restaurant and hung the pillowcases for all to see.

We tried a few group pictures! What a great group of volunteers!

University of Minnesota ConKerr Cancer Group Spreads the Word 2014-2015

The University of Minnesota ConKerr Cancer group continues to spread the word. They have held sewing events with the College of Biological Sciences Dean's Scholars, Biology Without Borders members, and the Pre-Pharmacy Club. They even went on the road to nearby University of St. Thomas to sew with the Dental Club.
